hello, meet ginni

Ginni is an artist, dog-parent, and active community member currently based on the east coast of Vancouver Island, BC.

Ginni is often known for working with natural pigments to create abstract ‘land portraits’ using simplified representations of natural elements. Paying attention to nature’s shapes, colours, and textures is central to Ginni’s art practice.

Often drawing inspiration and raw pigments directly from the environment, maintaining responsibility, respect, and relationships with and for materials and places is deeply important to Ginni. A sense of play, connection to a place and time, and techniques of both art and science are present in Ginni’s work.
